Real Estate & Customer Experience Manager

Viktória Nagy has been working for Prologis in Hungary for 13 years. She began her career as an office coordinator, then, between 2007 and 2018, she was an assistant to the property management team. During this time, she gained extensive knowledge about property management and the Hungarian market, and in 2018 she was promoted to junior property manager. Her main tasks are coordinating maintenance companies, communicating with customers and keeping records of their insurance policies. She is also taking an active part in accounting running costs.

Viktória was immediately attracted to Prologis’s professional team during the application process. “I met an enthusiastic and cohesive group of people who enjoyed what they were doing. The complex work they did and their dynamism posed new challenges for me, which made me realize that I had finally found where I felt good and where I wished to belong,” she recalls. “This is a place that cares. It was great to experience that I could turn to all my colleagues for help – I was supported by everyone.”

She is convinced that a good property manager is customer-friendly, someone who is not merely tackling problems but also listens to customers and aids their everyday work. “My goal is to foster an open and honest relationship with my customers because property management is at least as much about people as it is about keeping buildings in good condition. When I meet customers, I enquire about their well-being as well as their work. This human factor is one of the main pillars of property management.”

Viktória believes that an exciting future is in store for her field with the advance of digitalization. As the global leader in logistics real estate, Prologis ensures that its customers have access to the latest technological developments and innovations, allowing their businesses to stay ahead of what’s next. “Introducing smart meters enables our customers to remotely check and monitor the consumption of buildings and learn about any potential problems in good time, which means that repairs can also be started more quickly,” Viktória explains. “A growing number of applications which facilitate administration and keeping records are used in the course of our day-to-day work, thus leaving more time for personal communication with our customers.”

Another important objective in promoting digitalization in property management is to increase sustainability, which is in Prologis’s DNA. “We offer a free car-sharing website for our customers in Hungary. The online community platform enables people who work at our parks to share vehicles while driving to and from work, thereby building relationships and reducing the environmental impact of commuting,” says Viktória. “Digitalizing administration also means using less paper, so we can save on resources,” she adds.

Viktória’s motto is “never put off until tomorrow what you can do today” and she views property management in the same light. “The nature of my work means that I have to keep to strict deadlines. This is often a challenge but at the same time I enjoy that no two days are the same. The customer-friendly approach and constant innovation of Prologis set it apart from its competitors and I’m glad that I can contribute to this through my work.”
