For the first time, the Women in Logistics Forum this year chose an "ESG Champion in Logistics 2023". The award promotes good practices in the area of ESG and activities in accordance with sustainable development principles. Above all, the award recognizes companies that implement ESG strategies in an exemplary manner.

ESG

Prologis received a certificate and statuette for winning the title of "ESG Champion in Logistics 2023," in the category “corporate governance”. The jury appreciated Prologis’ policies relating to equality and diversity, as well as its innovative projects and solutions ensuring sustainable development in spaces built by the company around the world.

2.8% of the world’s Gross Domestic Product flows through Prologis warehouses, meaning in 2022, almost 3% of all the goods produced and sold in the world ‘passed’ through our warehouses. This is a huge success but also a great responsibility. As such, we focus on all three ESG pillars with equal commitment. We would like to thank the Women in Logistics Forum for appreciating our actions and awarding us the title of ESG Champion in Logistics 2023,” said Marta Tęsiorowska, Vice President, Head of Marketing & Communications Europe at Prologis.

Corporate Governance at Prologis

In order to stay one step ahead of what’s next, Prologis has focused on innovation for years. Since 2016, Prologis Ventures has invested $150 million in nearly 40 companies, focusing on ESG and sustainable development. These investments support IT technologies to reduce food waste in food delivery systems, software that calculates greenhouse gas emissions across all ranges, and solutions that positively affect the safety and productivity of employees. In 2022, four companies supported by Prologis Ventures were included in Fast Company’s "Most Innovative Companies" list.

Diversity and inclusivity are also important to Prologis. 27% (3 out of 11) of the company’s board members are non-white and 27% (3 out of 11) are women. The importance of ESG in Prologis’ strategy is underlined by changes made within the organization. Updated ESG-based compensation has been introduced: for the past five years, executive and employee compensation has been linked to ESG metrics. In 2022, ESG metrics became a category in their own right, accounting for 10% of the bonus scorecard, a percentage similar to that of other core business functions.

About the "ESG Champion in Logistics" competition
