Since the start of the war in Ukraine, many companies and non-governmental organizations have joined forces to help people in dire need beyond Poland’s eastern border.

One of the aid activities undertaken by Prologis has been cooperation with the Saint Nicholas Foundation, which delivers humanitarian aid from all over Europe to Ukraine. This huge logistical undertaking requires appropriate storage infrastructure, so Prologis stepped in to provide over 3,000 square meters of warehouse and office space at Prologis Park Chorzów free of charge as part of its "Space for Good" program.

This space became the International Logistics Center operated by the St. Nicholas Foundation in cooperation with the Maltese Relief Service from Ivano-Frankivska and the Maltese Assistance Foundation - Malta Medical Service.

This year has seen 200 shipments leave the warehouse, carrying a total of 3,000 tons of food and other basic necessities for children from Ukraine.

“On behalf of the entire Foundation team and the team from Ukraine, as well as those we are helping in Ukraine, I would like to thank Prologis with all my heart for their strategic support and for making the warehouse and office facilities available. Thanks to this, we have been able to provide help in an organized way, wisely and properly preparing shipments, and ensuring that aid is delivered where it is needed most,” says Joanna Paciorek, Vice-President of the Management Board of the Saint Nicholas Foundation.

Every year, Prologis and the Prologis Foundation donate $4.7 million in financial support to NGOs around the world. Another form of support is the "Space for Good" program, through which Prologis makes warehouses available free of charge for organizations helping victims of disasters or armed conflicts. In 2021, as much as 120,000 sqm of modern warehouse space was allocated for this purpose, worth a market rent value of USD 5.4 million.

“What makes us happiest of all is seeing good things happening in Prologis warehouses! That doesn’t just mean success for our customers, happy employees working in our parks, or efficient processes ensuring that end consumers receive purchased goods quickly. We deeply believe goodness is the only thing that multiplies when it is shared. That’s why we are honored that the Saint Nicholas Foundation has done great and beautiful things under the roof of a Prologis warehouse,” says Katarzyna Nobis, Leasing Manager at Prologis.

Whether it's success for our customers, great quality of life for employees, or charitable support for those in need, fulfilled promises are... Made in Prologis.
