Prologis works hard to help develop the communities where it does business. This means not only being a good neighbor, but also enriching the surroundings of our logistics parks. To enliven the urban space at Prologis Park Warsaw-Żerań, we gave Ukrainian artist Alex Maksiov the chance to create a huge 3D mural depicting four titmice on the façade of one of the buildings in the park.

According to the symbolism of animals, these birds represent communication, joy, resourcefulness and openness to the world. They’re considered symbols of good luck and they are associated with positive thinking and success. They bring good news. Besides this, titmice are birds characteristic of both Poland and Ukraine,” said Alex Maksiov when explaining his inspiration.

The mural can be seen not only by guests and employees at Prologis Park Warsaw-Żerań, but also by passers-by on Warsaw’s Annopol Street.

Alex's work at the park is part of the Prologis PARKlife™ concept, creating places that are friendly and welcoming not just for work, but also for rest and recreation. Prologis parks feature copious green relaxation zones with benches, gazebos and barbecue areas. We also install homes for hedgehogs and insects, and we encourage people to use low-emission transport by providing electric vehicle charging stations, bicycle shelters and bike repair stations,” says Marta Glinka, Director, Head of Property Management Prologis in Poland.

Alex Maksiov is from Ukraine. He started his art adventure by drawing, painting and renovating works of art. For several years now, he has specialized in street art, especially 3D graphics. Among other works, he is the creator of the largest 3D street painting in Ukraine, with an area of 457m2, and the largest mural in Kyiv, covering 16 floors.

Alex has received many international awards, and in Poland, he cooperates with the Urban Forms foundation in Łódź. He says his new mural in Prologis Park Żerań is one of the largest he has ever painted. This is not his first collaboration with Prologis; on a water silo at Prologis Park Łódź, Alex previously created a 3D mural depicting a mermaid emerging from the sea.
