Prologis closes another successful year in Hungary
Corporate News
Prologis has once again closed a successful year in Hungary. In 2025, the occupancy rate of its domestic portfolio reached 97%, significantly exceeding the market average. This result was driven by high-quality, customer-focused operations, the superior quality of buildings, strategic locations, and a leasing strategy that responds quickly to market changes.
“We consider it an outstanding achievement that 100% of our expiring lease agreements were renewed by our customers. This is particularly meaningful given that the market last year was characterized by increased supply and intense competition. All of this demonstrates that we have successfully adapted to market dynamics as well as to our customers’ continuously evolving needs and technological expectations. In 2025, we signed more than 250,000 square meters of lease agreements, welcoming several new tenants to our portfolio while many existing partners expanded their presence in our parks. While flexibility remains a key consideration—both in lease terms and conditions—we clearly see strong customer willingness to commit to mid-term leases, typically around five years, and to build reliable, long-term partnerships,” said Zsuzsanna Hunyadi, Leasing and Customer Satisfaction Director at Prologis Hungary.
The strong results are also supported by Prologis’ customer-centric approach across all activities. The company regularly conducts customer satisfaction surveys and, following thorough evaluation of feedback, strives to implement concrete development measures - whether in services or investments. Prologis Hungary achieved a Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 70, which qualifies as “excellent.”
“We are proud that in 2025, through our nearly €5 million investment program, we further increased the efficiency and sustainability of our real estate portfolio, strengthening the competitiveness of our logistics parks—including buildings over 10 years old—against even the most modern facilities. Within one year, we refurbished 47,000 square meters of roof space to make it suitable for the installation of solar panels,” said Lóránd Gárdonyi, Head of Property Management and Customer Experience at Prologis Hungary. “Prologis’ small but highly efficient team of 11 experts serves approximately 60 customers on a daily basis, delivering professional services every day,” he added.
Sustainability plays a key role in Prologis’ operations. Globally, the company is committed to achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across its entire value chain by 2040, and the Hungarian team is translating this ambition into tangible, practical results.
The PARKlife by Prologis initiative focuses on creating more human-centered logistics parks. In Hungary, this is most visibly realized at Prologis Park Budapest-Harbor, where green spaces, recreational areas, and recurring annual events - such as the Prologis Football Cup, held for the 11th time in 2025 - strengthen community spirit and contribute to the physical and mental well-being of employees. In addition to sports activities, Prologis also provided health screening programs for its partners’ employees this year, while simultaneously organizing a charitable plush toy donation drive.
