Prologis expands in the Greater Prague region with a new building acquisition
Corporate News
Prologis, the global leader in logistics real estate, has expanded its presence in the Prague region with the acquisition of a 17,455-square-metre modern warehouse facility. The building is located in Rudna, 20 km from Prague, and now was included in the Prologis Park Prague-Rudná.
The acquired facility includes a cross-dock terminal for the rapid transfer of goods from inbound to outbound transport, along with a logistics warehouse, both operated by DSV. The company will continue to operate the asset under a sale-and-leaseback arrangement.
The facility features numerous sustainability solutions, including extensive roof photovoltaics installation, electric car chargers, electric truck chargers, LNG gas station, as well as full LED lighting and other sustainable measures.
“We focus on acquiring high-quality assets in strategic locations and are pleased to have consolidated ownership of our flagship park in Prague-Rudna. Prague remains one of our top conviction markets in Europe due to strong customer demand and structural supply constraints. We were pleased to partner with DSV on this transaction and look forward to further expand our long-term cooperation,” said Roy Levine, Vice President, Head of Acquisitions and Dispositions, Prologis Central Europe.
The transaction further strengthens the long-standing partnership between Prologis and DSV. The global logistics leader cooperates with Prologis across numerous logistics real estate assets.
Following the acquisition, Prologis Park Prague-Rudná now offers more than 254,000 square meters of modern logistics and production space. The newly acquired facility is the 20th building within the park. The facility offers a strategic location at Exit 5 of the D5 motorway, providing excellent access to the German border. It is located just 12 kilometers from Václav Havel Airport Prague and approximately 6 kilometers from Prague boundaries, making it an ideal hub for both domestic and international distribution.
The transaction marks an important step in strengthening Prologis’ footprint in the Greater Prague region, where the company operates over 1.2 million sqm of modern logistics and production space.
