Corporate News
Prologis, the global leader in logistics real estate, has expanded its long-standing partnership with Vafo, a leading European producer of premium pet food. The company is expanding its existing operations at Prologis Park Pilsen II by leasing an additional 10,000 square metres of warehouse space, bringing its total footprint at the park to 37,000 square metres. Vafo uses the facility primarily for warehousing its super premium pet food products serving the Czech Republic and other European markets.
Vafo Production (part of the Vafo Group) is a Czech-founded super-premium pet food producer best known for brands such as Brit, Carnilove, Canvit and others. Established in 1994, the company has grown into one of the leading players in the European pet food market. Today, Vafo Group operates nine manufacturing facilities not only in the Czech Republic but also in Poland, Estonia, and Finland. The expanded warehousing facility at Prologis Park Pilsen II, with seamless access to Germany and other Western European markets, represents another important milestone in Vafo’s continued international growth.
“Each year, Vafo sells more than 260,000 tonnes of pet food to over 90 countries worldwide, and we continue to expand both our brand portfolio and product range,” said Milan Brože, Head of Logistics, Vafo Production. “This rapid growth requires strong and scalable logistics foundations. We therefore need facilities and partners that can support our expansion in the long term, and Prologis clearly understands our business and how our operations evolve. That’s why increasing our space at Prologis Park Pilsen II was a natural next step for us.”
Vafo Production is a well-established Prologis customer in the Czech Republic. The partnership with Prologis has been developing continuously since 2017, and the company also occupies 23,700 square metres at Prologis Park Prague-Rudna. With the latest expansion in Pilsen, Vafo now uses more than 60,000 square metres of warehouse space across Prologis parks in the Czech Republic as the backbone of its regional operations.
“We are truly excited to see Vafo continue to grow with us,” said Anna Brath, Senior Leasing Manager Prologis Czech Republic. “This expansion confirms the strength of our long-term relationship and our ability to support customers at every stage of their development. We value the trust Vafo has placed in us over the years and look forward to continuing this successful cooperation.”
Vafo was advised by Cushman & Wakefield experts in the process of the contract negotiations and selection of the building. “We are glad to be a long-term partner of Vafo and support their success over the years. Due to the company’s rapid growth, we recommended expansion at Prologis Park Pilsen II as the quality of the building and its strategic location guarantees perfect environment for the further growth,” said Vít Zdráhal, Partner, Head of Industrial Leasing, Cushman & Wakefield.
Strategic location with further growth potential

In addition to the current facilities, the park has the capacity to deliver up to 31,000 additional square metres of new warehouse space, including build-to-suit (BTS) solutions tailored to customer needs.
“The location of Prologis Park Pilsen II makes it an ideal hub for companies serving both the Czech market and Germany,” said Ondřej Vodička, Capital Deployment Director at Prologis. “With land already permitted for the further development of the park, we are ready to support both existing and new customers by delivering high-quality, tailor-made logistics facilities that will grow together with their businesses.”
