Prologis, the global leader in logistics real estate, has signed a physical Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with ENGIE Zielona Energia, part of the ENGIE Group. Under the agreement, Prologis will source renewable electricity generated by ENGIE’s wind farm to help power its logistics and industrial parks across Poland.

The physical PPA, which takes effect in January 2026, will cover around 67 percent of the annual electricity demand of Prologis’ parks in Poland, with approximately 335 gigawatt-hours (GWh) contracted over five years at a fixed, predetermined price.

The PPA forms part of a broader renewable energy supply arrangement with ENGIE Zielona Energia, which secures 500 GWh of renewable electricity over five years and ensures that 100 percent of Prologis’ electricity use in Poland continues to come from renewable sources backed by guarantees of origin.

Purchasing electricity from dedicated renewable sources through a PPA is a clear demonstration of our long-term commitment to operating sustainably. We are focused not only on reducing our own carbon footprint but also on supporting our customers as they pursue their own sustainability goals,” said Paweł Sapek, SVP and Regional Head for Central Europe at Prologis.

We are pleased to sign this PPA to deliver electricity from one of our wind farms to Prologis. Partnering with a leader in logistics real estate shows that collaboration between the property and energy sectors can meaningfully accelerate the energy transition and raise sustainability standards in Poland,” commented Mateusz Madejski, Management Board Member at ENGIE Zielona Energia.

A Predictable, Sustainable Energy Source for Prologis Customers

According to the Prologis Supply Chain Outlook 2026, 90% of global companies report that ensuring stable energy supply has posed a major challenge in the past year. The PPA between Prologis and ENGIE Zielona Energia directly addresses this growing concern.

For companies operating in Prologis’ logistics and industrial parks, the PPA provides greater cost stability and protection from energy market volatility. A fixed rate covering around 67% of the demand for our parks enhances budget predictability and reduces clients’ exposure to price fluctuations,” said Marta Glinka, Real Estate & Customer Experience Lead, Director at Prologis.

Prologis’ Commitment to Sustainability

Prologis is the first logistics real estate developer in Poland to announce the signing of a physical PPA for renewable energy, a significant milestone in the company’s long-standing sustainability strategy. Since 2022, all electricity used in Prologis buildings in Poland has been certified as originating from renewable sources. The new PPA strengthens this approach by ensuring long-term, stable clean energy supply for the parks of the global logistics real estate leader.

Sustainability is also a cornerstone of Prologis’ approach to design and construction. All new buildings developed by the company in Poland are designed to achieve at least BREEAM Excellent certification. The newest facility in Prologis Park Ujazd – currently under development for Schaeffler – has been designed to meet the requirements for BREEAM Outstanding, the highest level of certification within the international sustainability framework for buildings.

ENGIE: Advancing the Energy Transition in Poland and Worldwide

ENGIE is a global leader in the energy transition, committed to accelerating the shift to a carbon-neutral economy. The Group’s operations—spanning the full energy value chain from renewable electricity generation and green gas to infrastructure management and energy sales—are aligned with its target of achieving net-zero emissions by 2045.

“In many sectors where cost efficiency and long-term planning are crucial, PPAs have become a cornerstone of energy strategy. These agreements not only support ENGIE’s customers in decarbonizing but also provide predictable energy prices for many years. When combined with forward contracts and SPOT market procurement, they offer an effective synergy that we see adopted by a growing number of clients,” added Wojciech Milewski, Senior Originator at ENGIE.

In Poland, ENGIE Zielona Energia is a key driver of the country’s energy transition. The company actively manages its own portfolio of wind and solar farms with a total capacity exceeding 360 MW and offers a wide range of products for both energy producers and consumers, with PPAs serving as a central tool for decarbonization. ENGIE is also investing in biomethane projects, expanding its portfolio of low-carbon solutions and effectively supporting companies such as Prologis in meeting their ambitious CO₂ reduction targets.
