PHARMIX is a vital player in the Central European pharmaceutical sector, producing custom stainless steel equipment and machinery for producers of pharmaceutical products. With more than 50 years’ experience focusing on stainless steel production, the company needed the right warehouse space to help it to continue serving customers with precision and care.
Challenge
PHARMIX needed warehouse space in Slovakia to serve as a base for its business-to-business operations, allowing it to effectively distribute its products to customers. Given the sensitive nature of pharmaceutical products and the strict regulatory requirements for companies working in the sector, the warehouse had to correspond with PHARMIX’s requirements and incorporate solutions for the safe storage of goods.
Solution
In 2021, PHARMIX moved into a Build-to-Suit development at DC16 in Prologis Park Bratislava, designed specifically to meet its requirements. The 9,000-sqm space is used for the distribution of goods for the pharmaceutical industry, and to optimize operations, it is equipped with sorting and conveyor technology as well as cooling boxes for the effective handling of goods. The warehouse was also designed to meet modern sustainability standards, achieving a BREEAM rating of “Very Good”.
The warehouse has been a hit with PHARMIX, who plan further expansion at Prologis Park Bratislava in 2024. Another Build-to-Suit space is anticipated to more than double PHARMIX’s space at this park, which is ideally situated to serve its B2B customers throughout Slovakia and elsewhere in Central Europe.
