Szlachetna Paczka

Each year, Prologis employees can take fully paid days off and spend them on chosen charitable activity. For many years, as part of IMPACT Day we celebrate volunteering and switch off our computers, get out of our offices and roll up our sleeves to help those who need support the most.

Due to the pandemic, this year’s IMPACT Day has been organised in a slightly different way, but as always with great involvement of #PrologisPeople and most importantly - with heart-warming results! The volunteering campaign began on November 15 and will run through the end of December. Our goal for 2021 is 10,000 hours volunteered globally.

This year, Prologis’ Polish teams jointly decided to help a family in dire need of material support through the Szlachetna Paczka (Noble Parcel) social initiative. The three siblings were abandoned by their parents. The oldest sister took over the care of the younger children, aged 11 and 15. Despite Marta’s enormous efforts to support herself, her brother and sister, they often cannot afford basic necessities such as heating, clothing or school supplies.

That’s why we put together a really big Parcel, which met all the needs of the family, and as an extra Christmas surprise we added many more presents!

“It is great to see the Polish team uniting forces for this very special cause. Thanks to the compassionate response and tremendous dedication of our people, the three siblings received the tangible support they so desperately need right now. At Prologis, we have been sharing goodness with others for years and we do not intend to stop. Helping others is just so important to each of us” - emphasizes Anna Bielecka, Prologis Office Manager, who coordinated this year’s campaign.

The Szlachetna Paczka initiative has been organised throughout Poland for over 20 years. It combines the work of volunteers and donors for a very specific purpose, at an individual level of support. In this respect, it is the only such initiative in the world.

Prologis has a great history of commitment to socially relevant causes, as our teams have cultivated a culture of sharing for years. What we have done in the past is not of the greatest importance. What matters most is what more good we can do for others.
