More than 2000 years ago, the Silk Road linked eastern China with the Mediterranean in the ancient world’s longest and most storied overland trade route. Today, a confident and more open China is constructing the 21st century equivalent, designed to ensure the efficient movement of goods between east and west.

The Belt and Road Initiative (One Belt, One Road or OBOR) isn’t a single project, rather it’s a comprehensive strategy to make the global supply chain more efficient. And Prologis—the world’s largest owner and operator of industrial real estate with logistics facilities close to key road, rail and shipping nodes in both Europe and China—will play a vital role in facilitating the rising flow of goods across this land and maritime route.

Poland will act as a European gateway for the Belt and Road Initiative, creating the opportunity for the country to become a center of trade between China and Central and Southeast Europe.

Prologis has 2.4 million square meters of state-of-the-art logistics facilities in Poland with easy access to Belt and Road infrastructure, including a cluster of parks—Prologis Park Strykow, Prologis Park Piotrkow and those around Warsaw—that lie on the route to Germany.
